Dr. Rajan Payyappilly graduated from St.Johns Medical College, Bangalore. He persued MD in Microbiology at Govt. Medical College, Calicut and did DMV (Post doc Diploma in Medical Virology) at the National Institute of Virology (NIV), Pune. He has about 25 years of experience in Medical College teaching, ” has worked in GMC Calicut, GMC, Kochi” GMC Kannur, before joining PIMS, in 2023 as Dean. He has been a PG guide since 2011 and a member of National Board panel of faculty for DNB (Microbiology). He has also had a stint in Public Health administration and was the Director of the “State Virology Institute” (KSIVID), Kerala (2006 -2008).
