Experience: Resident of Obstetrics and Gynecologist at Siriraj Hospital
Dr. Harshal Kawanpure is a dedicated academician and public health professional with vast experience in teaching, research, and field-based community medicine. He joined our institution in 2025 as Professor in the Department of Community Medicine, contributing his expertise to both academic and outreach programs.
Dr. Kawanpure completed his MBBS from Government Medical College, Nagpur, one of Maharashtra’s premier medical institutions. He went on to pursue his MD in Community Medicine from the prestigious Topiwala National Medical College, Mumbai, where he received advanced training in preventive and social medicine, epidemiology, and healthcare planning.
Throughout his career, Dr. Kawanpure has held various faculty positions in reputed medical colleges across the country, progressively serving as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor in the Department of Community Medicine. His professional journey reflects a strong commitment to student education, curriculum development, and community engagement.
Before joining our institution, he served as Professor at PK Das Institute of Medical Sciences, where he was actively involved in academic leadership, community health initiatives, and public health research.
At our teaching hospital, Dr. Harshal Kawanpure plays a vital role in training the next generation of doctors with a focus on preventive medicine, health education, and rural healthcare delivery. His experience and dedication continue to enhance the quality of community medicine education and service at our institution.
