Experience: Resident of Obstetrics and Gynecologist at Siriraj Hospital
Dr. Ira Bharadwaj is a distinguished pathologist and academician with decades of experience in medical education, diagnostics, and departmental leadership. She joined our institution in 2023 as Professor and Head of the Department of Pathology, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and clinical expertise.
Dr. Bharadwaj completed her MBBS in 1977 from the prestigious King George’s Medical College, under Lucknow University. She went on to pursue her MD in Pathology from the same institution, completing her postgraduate studies in 1988.
She began her career at King George’s Medical College, contributing significantly to the academic and clinical missions of the department. Over the years, she has served in various reputed medical colleges across the country in roles of increasing responsibility—including Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor—demonstrating her strong commitment to medical education and pathology practice.
Before joining our institution, Dr. Bharadwaj served as Professor of Pathology at Karuna Medical College, where she was actively involved in teaching, diagnostic services, and academic administration.
As Head of the Department of Pathology at our teaching hospital, Dr. Ira Bharadwaj continues to lead with integrity, fostering an environment of academic excellence and innovation. Her mentorship and dedication to teaching greatly benefit our students and the broader medical community.
