Dr. Pushpalatha L is an accomplished academician and microbiologist with a strong background in medical education and clinical microbiology. She joined our institution in 2024 as Professor in the Department of Microbiology, bringing with her a wealth of experience gained through decades of service in various reputed medical colleges.

She completed her MBBS in 1988 from Mangalore University and went on to pursue her MD in Microbiology from the University of Madras, graduating in 1997. Her academic journey has been marked by a consistent dedication to both teaching and diagnostic microbiology.

Dr. Pushpalatha began her career at M.S. Ramaiah Medical College, Bengaluru, where she served as a Tutor in the Department of Microbiology. Over the years, she has held various academic positions including Assistant Professor and Associate Professor across several esteemed institutions. Her teaching methods, academic contributions, and commitment to excellence have made a significant impact on both students and peers alike.

Before joining our institution, her last assignment was as Professor of Microbiology at Malabar Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, where she played an integral role in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical training.

At our teaching hospital, Dr. Pushpalatha L continues to contribute meaningfully to the academic and diagnostic mission of the Department of Microbiology. Her experience, leadership, and passion for the subject make her a valuable asset to our institution.
