Introducing the Doctor
Experience: Resident of Obstetrics and Gynecologist at Siriraj Hospital
Dr. Suma B. Pillai is a seasoned academician and pathologist with extensive experience in medical education and diagnostic pathology. She completed her MBBS from Gulbarga University and went on to pursue her MD in Pathology from PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Coimbatore, graduating in the year 2004.
She began her career as a Tutor in the Department of Pathology at PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and steadily rose through the academic ranks to become a Professor in the same department. During her tenure, she was actively involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, conducting research, and contributing to departmental development.
Following her service at PSG, Dr. Suma B. Pillai continued to enrich various medical colleges across the country with her academic expertise and clinical insights as a Professor of Pathology.
In 2025, she joined our institution as a Professor in the Department of Pathology. Her dedication to teaching, coupled with her strong foundation in diagnostic pathology, continues to benefit both students and the clinical services of our teaching hospital.
