Department Infrastructure

1. Teaching Areas: Lecture halls with LCD Projectors, audiovisual aids and smart screens , Demonstration halls and seminar rooms for small group discussions equipped with smart screens with built-in software & touch screen monitors .
2. Laboratory Facilities Include:
   • Student Laboratory: A well-equipped lab providing practical sessions and research opportunities for undergraduate students.
   • Central Clinical Laboratory: Central Clinical lab equipped with automation & technology to improve testing efficiency & accuracy. Laboratory information system (LIS) software manages laboratory data, results & workflows , to support Clinical decision making efficiently without delay.
     Central lab has implemented a Quality management system to ensure high quality of standard & safety .
     Performance indicators of central Biochemistry lab include daily internal QC check with high quality QC material, test turn around time ,test accuracy & precision, Monthly external quality control programme with CMC LAB VELLORE, Tamilnadu & Customer satisfaction.
     
   • Research Laboratory:Research lab with research focus on biomarkers, & disease mechanisms.

Professor & Head of the dept overseeing education, research and service activities, Teaching faculty members with expertise in various areas of biochemistry associate &,assist in smooth & efficient functioning of department.

Laboratory staff perform testing, maintain equipment,and ensure quality control.

Deptal office staff manage operations including budgeting, scheduling of deptal academic & Diagnostic areas.
