Dr. Prathisha Balamurugan
Senior Resident
Dr. Prathisha Balamurugan joined our institution on 1st July 2025 as a Senior Resident in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She is a dedicated clinician with a strong academic foundation and a focused interest in women’s health, maternal care, and reproductive medicine.
She completed her MBBS from Coimbatore Medical College, under The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, in 2018, and obtained registration with the Kerala State Medical Council (Reg. No. 104759) on 20 May 2025. She later earned her MS in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the same institution and university in 2023, with registration under the Tamil Nadu Medical Council (Reg. No. 131698, dated 13 March 2024).
Dr. Prathisha began her professional journey in clinical obstetrics and gynaecology, where she developed strong skills in patient management, antenatal and postnatal care, and surgical procedures.
As a Senior Resident at Palakkad Institute of Medical Sciences, Walayar, she contributes actively to patient care, departmental training, and academic activities. Her compassionate approach, clinical competence, and enthusiasm for continuous learning make her a valued member of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
