Our Mission
It is our embodied mission with an indomitable spirit to work with fervour to make our vision a reality before 2027 when our first batch of under graduate and post graduate students come to final year.
Our Vision
It is our dream to upgrade the department with registration of minimum 500 OPDS and 100 INPATIENTS walk in to the department every day and 20 regular faculties working in the department to cater the MEDICAL, MEDICO-LEGAL AND MEDICAL EMERGENCY needs of whole Palakkad district and to make it a research department in near future.
Departmental Goals
- To have one exclusive department digital laboratory and library with wi-fi enablement and an AI endowed facility available to all students and faculties.
- To have constructed one state of the art and first of its quality and kind at the nation level seminar hall with digital board to conduct state, national, international level conferences and to invite faculties of state, national and international reputation to share/impart and to inculcate their pearls of knowledge to our students. And make our institution an internationally reputable and a replicable model besides find the Palakkad institute of medical sciences, Walayar a permanent place in the medical geography.
Departmental Objectives
It is our passion and perseverance to see all OPD patients, elective in patients and incoming all critically ill patients and to examine them systematically and give a state of the art physical, social and emotional care at an affordable cost in the Palakkad district rural and industrial belt for both communicable disease and non-communicable disease.
We offer timely help to other colleague departments in PIMS HOSPITAL AND MEDICAL COLLEGE for their accompanying general medical needs in specialty specific opinion formation, embodiment of preventive, curative and palliative care necessities in their way of illness in the hospital admission.
- We owe to serve and grow day by day and improve better than yesterday and yester year concepts.
- Achievable quality care to all dimensions of patient from poor to rich, paying to insurance, rural to urban, daily wages to industrial and simple to critically ill patients appropriate with required lab investigation in vogue to achieve a maximum diagnostic accuracy and a standardized treatment protocol.
