Dr. V Lekshmi Narayani joined our institution on 22nd February 2023 as Professor in the Department of General Surgery. A senior surgeon with decades of teaching and clinical experience, she brings a deep commitment to surgical education and patient care.
She completed her MBBS from Madurai Medical College, under Madurai Kamaraj University, in 1986. She later earned her MS in General Surgery from Coimbatore Medical College in 2002. She is registered with the Tamil Nadu Medical Council.
Dr. Lekshmi began her academic journey as a Registrar/Senior Resident at Coimbatore Medical College and Manipal in 2006. She went on to serve in various academic roles including Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor across prestigious government institutions such as Coimbatore Medical College, Govt. Thiruvarur Medical College, and ESI Hospital, Coimbatore.
Her academic career spans more than 15 years, during which she has been actively involved in training undergraduate and postgraduate students, guiding clinical research, and managing complex surgical cases. She is known for her disciplined approach, surgical expertise, and dedication to mentoring the next generation of surgeons.

She completed her MBBS from Madurai Medical College in 1986, DGO from Madras Medical College in 1994, and MS in General Surgery from Coimbatore Medical College in 2002.
