Dr M Jayalakshmi

Dr. M. Jayalakshmi joined our institution on 1st March 2024 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She is an experienced obstetrician and gynaecologist with a strong academic background and extensive clinical exposure in women’s health and reproductive medicine.

She completed her MBBS from IRT Perundurai Medical College, Tamil Nadu, under the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, during 1999–2004, and obtained registration with the Tamil Nadu Medical Council (Reg. No. 76443) on 2 May 2005. She pursued her MD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from CSI Mission Hospital, Tamil Nadu, completing it in 2009, with her registration updated in 2017.

Dr. Jayalakshmi began her teaching career as a Senior Resident at Karpagam Medical College from July 2016 to October 2018, followed by her role as Assistant Professor at the same institution from November 2018 to April 2019. She later served as Assistant Professor at Malabar Medical College from September 2020 to March 2021.

With several years of teaching and clinical experience, Dr. M. Jayalakshmi brings valuable expertise in managing both routine and high-risk obstetric cases. Her dedication to patient care, academic excellence, and student mentorship makes her a respected member of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Palakkad Institute of Medical Sciences.
