Dr M Ponraj

Dr. M. Ponraj joined our institution as an Assistant Professor in the Department of General Medicine. He is a skilled physician and academician with extensive clinical and teaching experience in internal medicine.

He completed his MBBS from Thoothukudi Medical College under the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University and obtained registration with the Tamil Nadu Medical Council (Reg. No. 86471) on 7 May 2009. He went on to complete his MD in General Medicine from the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) in 2012, followed by a DM from JIPMER in 2017, further strengthening his expertise in the field.

Dr. Ponraj began his academic career at JIPMER, where he served as a Senior Resident in General Medicine from 2013 to 2017, gaining over four years and seven months of rich experience in clinical medicine, research, and medical education.

With his strong academic background and years of hands-on clinical experience, Dr. M. Ponraj brings both depth and dedication to his role as Assistant Professor, contributing significantly to the department’s teaching, training, and patient care activities.
